ZTE Announces the “Era” – Quad-Core and ICS

Earlier today ZTE announced, the “Orbit”, a windows phone (yuck!) but, that wasn’t the only device the company had up its sleeve.

The ZTE Era is going to be running a quad-core Tegra 3 processor from  NVIDIA while having a 4.3-inch (960 x 540) qHD display, HSPA+, 8GB of internal storage and a body that’s going to check in at a mere 7.8mm in thickness.  That’s a whole lot of power in a very tiny body.

ZTE stated they wanted to be amongst the top three handset manufactures by 2015, and this seems like the right way to start. Right now it is only targeted for Europe and China in the second half of this year, but we’ll have to see where else it might show up.
