With the new Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor showing up in tablets (Asus Transformer Prime, and the upcoming Asus Eee Pad MeMO 370T) it’s a race for cell phone makers to release the first quad-core phone.
HTC might be the winner, at least that’s what veteran phone blog MoDaCo thinks.
According to MoDaCo’s source, the manufacturer will probably unveil the HTC Endeavor at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and it’ll be powered by the new quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. Other reported specs include 1GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch, 720p display, an 8MP main camera and 1.3MP front-facing. Connectivity-wise, Wifi a/b/g/n support is reported, along with Bluetooth 4.0. A quad-band (not penta-band) HSPA+ radio is included too, which suggests this device may be AT&T-bound in the US. Software wise, we hope to see some Ice Cream Sandwich as well HTC Sense 4.
The Edge is actually known as the HTC Endeavor behind the scenes. But actually, Android Central says the”Endeavor” is a pseudonym for HTC Supreme. With the device’s amazing specs, Supreme seems to fit the device rather well.
Will you get this phone when it comes out?
(Update: Specs confirmed from leaked ROM.)
