Galaxy Note 2 Will Reportedly Feature A Faster Exynos 4 Quad Chip

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 2, rumored to have a 5.5-inch display, will reportedly pack a 1.6GHz Exynos 4 Quad chip.The same chip we saw with international version of the Galaxy S3 except +.2GHz.

The rumor mill from the Galaxy Note 2 (aka the “GT-N7100”) keeps churning from another leak. This time, benchmarks that suggest the clock speed on the Note 2 will be faster, actually letting it out-perform the Galaxy SIII with a 1.6GHz Exynos quad instead of a 1.4 GHz Exynos. The benchmark also mentions a 720p display, as opposed to the original Note’s 1280 x 800 screen.

Samsung’s also announced a US event on August 15. Consider how late America got the SIII compared to Australia, could a quick launch on the Note 2 into that region be a peace offering?
