How to watch videos in full screen on the Nexus 7

If you are having problems playing videos in full screen on a Nexus 7 tablet, don’t worry – it is possible. I’m not talking about videos that you play Via an application such as Crunchyroll for Android. I’m talking about videos that you transfer from your computer to the Nexus 7, or videos from websites like YouTube. The YouTube application for Android allows you to stream videos in full screen, but if you’re not using the app and visit YouTube.com Via the Google Chrome app, problems might occur.

If you are having problems switching to full screen mode when playing videos on your Nexus 7, the problem might be caused by your settings. By default, the Nexus 7 disables the built-in auto rotate feature. If you enable this feature, it will switch the video to full screen mode when you turn the tablet horizontally.

How to enable the auto-rotate feature on the Nexus 7?

  1. Turn on the Nexus 7 tablet.
  2. Navigate to settings.
  3. Scroll down to the “system” category and select “accessibility”.
  4. Mark the “auto-rotate screen” option box.

Alternative method for Android (4.1+) Jelly Bean users :

  1. Swipe down the quick settings menu from the home screen of the tablet.
  2. Enable the feature by selecting “rotation locked”.
