It looks like the upcoming HTC One x will have some Tegra 3 competition at this year’s Mobile World Congress. According to confidential source for MoDaCo, LG is hoping to give HTC a run for its money by unveiling a quad-core device of their own, known as the LG X3.
This time, the source was kind enough to share screenshots, including Quadrant scores, which the X3 came in at 4412. For comparisons, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is around 2,000. In addition, one screenshot clearly shows the device running Android 4.0.3 with a 2.6.89 kernel, which is the latest Nvidia release, MoDaCo said.
The specs look great, we can expect a 4.7 inch HD 720×1280 screen, Tegra 3 Quad core processor (1.5GHz on single core, 1.4GHz when on 2-4 cores) + SMP Core (core companion) for IDLE task operations which will save battery life, a monster 2000mAh battery to power the 8MP camera with ultrafast shutter. As well as a 16GB internal memory with a microSD slot and of course, Ice Cream Sandwich.
We don’t have any data on the design other than the picture. If the picture is indeed the upcoming X3, then it definitely isn’t going to be a bulky phone, and might even be on the thinner side.
