The great thing that Google did to their Hangouts app for Android was the SMS and MMS integration. Which allowed users to send and receive SMS/MMS via the Hangouts app instead of using the native messaging app on their phone. However, even though Google has added so many new features to the app there’s still one main thing missing from it. The Hangouts app doesn’t have a widget so far but today, one third party developer has released an unofficial Widget for Google Hangouts which gives people a simple and decent looking Hangouts Widget on their homescreen.
Google Hangouts Widget
The new widget is called Hangouts Widget and it’s available via Google Play. It will provide you with a decent and working Hangouts widget for your device. It supports Android 4.3 and Android 4.4.
